After a year of planning, we brought the West Fund to the El Paso community in the best way we know how: with live bands and funky beats. We threw a party at Black Market, who was super gracious in hosting us in their final two weeks of being open -- we will surely miss the
We had awesome bands like Alpha Dog, Luxmermista, Snake Bat, and Stareater jamming for most of the night. We had our swag all set up for sale, took donations with the square app on our phones, and Joe was at the door hustling for donations. We announced that we had $200 around 10 pm and called on everyone to help us raise $500 by the end of the night -- and we're happy to say that we ended up raising $670 for abortion access that night!
We had a lot of fun, a few drinks, and the surprise highlight of the evening was that almost the entire staff of Whole Woman's Health, an abortion provider in Las Cruces, showed up to support us! We couldn't have asked for a better launch party or a better time.
Thanks for supporting us! Because of your help, we were able to fund 3 patients in December! We are blessed.
